Zintel turns five into one

OVER the last ten years the Zintel Group has evolved from small tolls service provision to having five trading companies, 130 employees and a presence on both sides of the Tasman.

Now the group is bringing its subsidiaries under one brand, Zintel, consolidating Zintel Communications and Zintel Enterprise in New Zealand and Australia, formerly known as Ericsson Enterprise Systems and Zintel Leasing.

Joanne Green, Zintel Group marketing manager, says the rebranding is a simplification process for the companies involved and their customers.

“Everything is changing to the new brand so that we can market effectively in both countries. Zintel has been around ten years and is now listed on the New Zealand alternative exchange,” she says.

Green says there is no change to Zintel’s status as an Ericsson authorised partner. In New Zealand the company is the sole partner for distribution, sales and service of Ericsson’s enterprise products and last year launched the same services in Australia.

Zintel has five branch offices in Australasia — Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin — with regional offices in Tauranga, Hamilton and Manawatu.

“The company will maintain its extreme focus on its customers — they are our number one priority, whether small or large companies,” says Green. She says Zintel plans to further its growth in toll-free services and Ericsson IP-PBX hardware and software in the region.

“We want to bring additional products and services on stream through development of wholesale partner relationships and leverage opportunities from specialist billing and reporting software.” Growth through further acquisitions is also on the agenda.
