TO COINCIDE with its 50th anniversary of business in New Zealand, IBM is holding its first partner and customer forum in New Zealand.
Rachel Dahlberg, IBM NZ public relations manager, says the event is an excellent means of showcasing where the company is today.
“It’s the biggest event of our year and we hope this will be the start of IBM Forum being a regular feature on our events calendar,” she says.
In previous years the company has flown delegates to the Austra-lian event but Dahlberg believes the time is right to launch in New Zealand.
Andrew Ramson, Value Add Distributors director, says the focus the event provides is invaluable.
“I’m all for having it locally because often we have to go the US or Australian event. There’s been a lot of activity in the Wellington region this year and it will be good for everyone in the community to meet up,” he says.
Dahlberg says IBM expects hundreds of attendees and promises something for everyone with business and technical presentations.
The theme of the inaugural event is Business. Insight, Technology and, if seminars are similar to those at the Australian forum, will likely cover business and financial strategy, CRM and human resource management.
The one-day event takes place in Auckland on October 11 before hitting Wellington on October 14.
