VoIP partnership promises vertical market assault

TELEWARE has partnered with Wellington-based applications company Techtonics in order to enter new VoIP vertical markets.

Mike Blanchard, managing director Teleware Australia New Zealand, believes customers will benefit from the combined knowledge and skills of the two companies.

“I’m thrilled to have begun a relationship with a smart, independent solutions provider. Techtonics has massive skills in Microsoft, Cisco and Novell applications and is keen to include the voice arena. Plus it has a strong customer base — particularly in government, which is an important market,” he says.

Blanchard says as the market converges phones switching has become an application.

“If you look at the trends that are coming it made sense to partner with an application house. Look at how the big telcos are buying up IT companies.”

Blanchard says he is looking to secure similar partnerships with complementary companies in Auckland and the South Island.

Ross Bidmead, Techtonics managing director, says Teleware products deliver real business benefits. “There is a lot of noise in the market about delivering more efficient voice communications but much of it addresses the technology end of the spectrum without considering the business end,” he says.
