Paul Muckleston will soon be swapping his “G’day”s for “Zdravstvuyte” and his morning latte for a shot of vodka.
The former small and mid-sized business and partner director at Microsoft New Zealand has received his mission dossier and is being dispatched to Moscow to take up the role as director of business management and strategy for Microsoft's Central and Eastern Europe region.
He leaves early next month and spent the last two weeks in Moscow meeting his new team and boss, Vahe Torossian, Microsoft's vice president for EMEA, Central and Eastern Europe.
Since Torossian is based in Paris, Muckleston will divide his time between there and Moscow.
Muckleston’s local role has been split in two with Helen Robinson taking over as director of the SMB and partner group and Brent Colbert as director of marketing.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is still on the hunt for a replacement for partner group manager Steve Haddock, who leaves next month to become distributor and system builder group manager at Microsoft in the UK.
