ORACLE’S channel strategy in New Zealand remains unaffected by the company’s appointment of Ingram Micro as a distributor for all its products in the United States.
Oracle and Ingram Micro announced last week that the software company will push its complete line-up of products through Ingram Micro to its over 35,000 resellers in the US.
Oracle says the agreement marks one of its first engagements with a broad-based distributor and will help it reach reseller servicing to small and medium businesses.
The deal does not seem likely to filter down to New Zealand as yet, with a local Oracle spokesperson saying it has no immediate impact on the market in New Zealand.
