New boss to keep firm Ontrack

Ontrack Data Recovery is pushing into New Zealand and Australia with the appointment of Adrian Briscoe as general manager for the region and a new Brisbane-based recovery laboratory.

Briscoe says his company has been in Asia-Pacific for ten years and has secured 320 Australasian partners — 20 in New Zealand — to resell products and services.

“Ontrack recovers data from mechanically failed hard drives and offers a range of services from software to pull back deleted data through to in-lab services,” he says.

With the new Brisbane laboratory, Briscoe says local resellers can now take advantage of a quick turnaround and believes it raises the bar in professional services.

“Losing data is very emotional so I consider Ontrack’s recovery service as a real value-add for resellers. Brisbane is only three hours away and clients receive the data in real-time.”

Ontrack also offers a remote recovery service that recovers data from the client’s server through an internet connection and a full pre-service evaluation delivering an online report detailing recoverable and non-recoverable data.
