The vendor Top 10 chart

Oracle and SAP may be bitter rivals, but both companies inspire true loyalty among their customers, according to the Walker Loyalty Report.

The survey by consultancy Walker Information reviewed some 18,000 evaluations by United States and European IT decision-makers to determine which hardware and software vendors had the most committed customers. The top vendors were identified, but not ranked.

Two of the factors influencing customer loyalty, the survey finds, are trustworthiness and how easy a given company is to do business with.

Walker's Top 10 loyalty leaders are (in alphabetical order):

Adobe

Apple

Cisco Systems

Dell

EMC

Hewlett-Packard

IBM

Microsoft

Oracle

SAP

Sun Microsystems

Symantec
