Synnex launches online store

Resellers can now order goods online from Synnex.

The recently established distributor launched its website this week, which features customer-specific pricing, full product information including images, customisable CSV [comma-separated values] files and the ability to add products to an e-watch list to generate price change and stock arrival emails.

Richard Harri, Synnex country manager, says the CSV function was added after recent reports in Reseller News revealed this was the chosen format in which resellers wanted to receive more information on products.

“We have spent a great deal of time developing the site to ensure all of the features were designed with the reseller in mind,” he says.

“Resellers can now choose broad product types or individual products, what information they require, the column ordering, plus the frequency of the CSV file to be received.”

The CSV file can be used to populate a reseller’s internal ordering procurement system or on their own website, says Harri.

The watch lists enable resellers to compile lists of products on which they receive email updates on price changes and availability.

The feedback from resellers already using the site has been very positive, says Harri.

Synnex entered the local market in July and stocks Intel, D-Link, Asus, Western Digital, Logitech and ViewSonic products.
