Canon reshuffles management

Strengthening both its consumer and business divisions, Canon New Zealand has promoted two key sales and marketing staffers to lead its charge into 2006.

Craig Manson, national sales manager for Canon’s business imaging solutions group (BSIG), moves upwards to the position of national manager for consumer imaging products group (CIPG).

Tony Wills, Canon managing director, says Manson has led BSIG to a strong position through winning significant contracts in key vertical markets.

“His shift across to the consumer division allows Canon to draw on his extensive experience and I know he has some exciting plans in place,” he says.

John Devenney, national manager Canon NZ customer care, fills Manson’s shoes leading the BSIG division while Dave Rudd has been promoted to assistant national manager BSIG.

The appointments come after Canon restructured its local marketing department, which saw the departure of national marketing and sales manager Gary Walker, and three other staff in September.
