Lan Systems to increase New Zealand focus

Lan Systems to increase New Zealand focus

LAN Systems has beefed up its security portfolio with the addition of hard drive encryption manufacturer Eracom.

Wendy O’Keefe, Lan Systems general manager, describes this as the first time her company has introduced encryption technology to resellers.

Lan Systems is Eracom’s first distributor in Australasia and will carry its privacy of information software series containing Protectdrive, Protectfile and Protectpack.

O’Keefe says it reinforces her company’s commitment to providing resellers with the latest technologies.

Leigh Howard, Lan Systems national sales manager, says Eracom is a complementary and welcome addition to the security division.

Howard says resellers won’t be required to gain accreditation in order to sell Eracom software but both companies will stage a series of training sessions.

He points out Lan Systems has three other areas of focus: networking, IP telephony and storage.

Sydney-based Howard admits his company hasn’t given New Zealand a lot of attention but wants to see that change.

“We haven’t always carried the same product lines across Australia and New Zealand but I see potential to grow business in New Zealand.”

Howard describes the New Zealand market as up and down but says the Sydney office will do what it can to increase future opportunities.
