Synnex boosts ranks with Lite-On

Thanks to global links, distributor Synnex can kick off the new year with a new agency.

Synnex New Zealand, part of a Taiwanese-based global distribution group, began distributing the full range of Lite-On optical drives this week.

This is not an exclusive deal however, as Auckland-based ZCom also stocks the range.

Announcing the appointment, Lite-On, also based in Taiwan, credited Synnex for its proven model of providing focused support for system builders and its contribution to the brand’s success in Australia.

“Synnex have enlarged our overall business in Australia and we are keen to engage in New Zealand to aid our reseller channel obtain the products they need quickly and efficiently,” Alan Chen, Lite-On sales and marketing director, said in a statement from Taipei.

Richard Harri, Synnex country manager, says the Lite-On products are well respected and will allow local assemblers to provide their customers with cost-effective offerings.

Synnex opened its doors locally last August and has since added Asus, D-Link, Intel, Logitech and Western Digital to its vendor ranks.
