Australian resellers will soon have access to Nokia’s mobile email service but New Zealand has longer to wait.
Nokia Business Centre is a wireless email product that comes in two varieties: standard and professional.
Standard users receive email on their mobile devices while Professional users can view and edit attachments and manage email folders on the server.
Brad Reed, Nokia Enterprise Solutions marketing manager, says the product opens up a number of new possibilities in the mobility market for resellers.
He says traditional IT resellers can offer a broader range of hardware by selling PDAs and smartphones.
“It’s a bit too early to say when it will be available in New Zealand as it’s yet to be released in Australia. Perhaps by mid-year,” he says.
Sydney-based Reed believes resellers and vendors need to work together to take mobility solutions to the enterprise market.
In Australia the company is waiting until it has bedded down the required infrastructure before it looks to take on additional resellers.
