Outsourcing giant Unisys has signed a seven-year deal with Land Transport NZ to provide infrastructure and IT management services. Although Unisys has a 13-year history with the Crown agency, it still had to tender alongside local and international IT firms for the contract. The company will use two of its Clearpath Plus Dorado servers on a capacity-on-demand model.

Systems integrator and SAP partner Realtech finished December on a high with a number of new customers. Gail Turner, Realtech business development manager, says signing Student Job Search Aotearoa was a real coup. The Wellington-based organisation purchased SAP Business One and selected Realtech to carry out the implementation.

Financial software specialist Greentree has had several high-profile wins recently through its implementation partner Verde. These include Metlife Care, Walker-Datavision, Hanover Finance and BBQ Factory.

Revera has scored a five-year deal with corporate law firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watts (MERW) to host its IT operations. It is expected MERW will save up to 20% on its IT budget with all servers, core applications, desktop and network management now running from Revera’s Albany data centre. Revera has hired MERWs IT staff and will place a support person at each MERW office.
