D-Link may seek to emulate a successful Australian services offering in New Zealand this year.
The networking vendor is considering launching its two-tier NetProtect support plan here sometime this year, says Sydney-based marketing director Maurice Famularo.
“It has been running in Australia for two years and has worked very well for us,” he says.
NetProtect is an additional service resellers can offer to customers, says Famularo, and is available in standard and premium versions.
The standard offering is a 12-month on-site service level agreement available with purchases of all D-Link managed switches. It offers eight hours response time during business hours for onsite product replacement by a D-Link-certified engineer, with priority email and helpdesk phone support. The premium version provides a four-hour response time around the clock.
