EMC gets new boss

Unconfirmed reports suggest Craig Stoddart will replace Alister Dias as EMC’s country manager.

Stoddart has already left systems integrator Axon where he was general manager of sales and service, a position he held since 2004.

Axon is an EMC partner but Scott Green, Axon CEO, says Stoddart wasn’t head hunted by the storage giant.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Craig over the last five years and look forward to catching up for a beer once he’s settled in,” he says.

Green says his company is about to start the recruitment process to find a replacement for Stoddart. The position will be advertised internally and externally.

Dias left New Zealand to take a role with EMC in Australia last month.

EMC is yet to announce his replacement, and did not respond to requests for comment by deadline.
