Stoddart leaves Axon for EMC

Craig Stoddart looks set to replace Alister Dias as EMC country manager.

Although Reseller News broke the story about Stoddart’s appointment in the ChannelBeat email newsletter over a week ago, at presstime EMC was still maintaining it was unable to comment on any potential candidate until he or she officially begins with the company.

However, Stoddart has already left systems integrator Axon where he was general manager of sales and service, a position he held since 2004.

Scott Green, Axon CEO, says Stoddart has moved on to take up the position with EMC.

Axon is an EMC partner but Green says Stoddart wasn’t headhunted by the storage giant.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Craig over the last five years and look forward to catching up for a beer once he’s settled in,” he says.

Green says his company is about to start the recruitment process to find a replacement for Stoddart. The position will be advertised internally and externally.

Dias left New Zealand to take a role with EMC in Australia last month.
