Juniper adds local partner

InTechnology has been appointed as a new partner for Juniper Networks, and will concentrate on presenting products previously offered by Funk.

John Sims, channel business development manager of InTechnology in New Zealand, says the move by Juniper comes with its acquisition of Funk Software, and InTechnology’s track record of Funk software sales.

“InTechnology has a good reputation as a distributor for Funk Software in New Zealand. Ingram, Juniper’s other New Zealand partner, will continue to offer their applications, while InTechnology will focus on software and security.”

Sander Dales, channel director of Jupiter, says the partnership with InTechnology came about from recognising that the product suite required a specialised set of skills to support its marketing and deployment.

“With InTechnology’s pedigree in providing this support across the ANZ market, it makes sense for us to formalise this relationship as a Juniper Networks distributor for the Steel Belted Radius and Odyssey products, particularly given InTechnology’s commitment with the recent hiring of John Sims as their New Zealand representative.”

Dales also says the partnership is a reaction to ever-changing trends and following the advice of partners. “Juniper moves with the trends, in some cases setting them, and listens to what our partners want. Information from the market has us focused on security, especially with the types of attacks and threats continuously changing. The threats are becoming more sophisticated and diverse.”

Juniper’s partners have also been given opportunities to offer their services through its partner certification programme.
