Renaissance broadens portfolio

Although the economic forecast isn’t exactly looking rosy Renaissance Brands is yet to see any sign of a recession.

General manager Mark Dasent admits the exchange rate has been a bit of a concern but says that hasn’t stopped his company signing up new vendors.

With the addition of storage specialist Tandberg Data Renaissance is making its first foray into the storage market.

“As everyone is aware Renaissance doesn’t take on new brands lightly. By working with Tandberg Data we’re able to distribute a professional range of tape storage and backup products that enhance our portfolio,” he says.

Renaissance shares New Zealand distribution of Tandberg with Ingram Micro and T Data.

Dasent says he expects to achieve promising sales results by addressing the current market situation and kick-starting a series of launches and promotions.

According to Dasent, Renaissance is currently in discussion with several other vendors and expects to make more announcements soon.
