ITW gets Wood

Distribution long-timer Wendy Wood has popped up as an account manager at IT Wholesale.

Wood has over 15 years in the industry - most recently at Renaissance Brands.

Aside from strong client relationship skills Wood’s has been instrumental in establishing software licensing and preferred supplier agreements with many New Zealand tertiary institutions.

On top of that Wood is deeply involved with the Women in Technology (WIT) group as a mentor.

“ I have a lot of knowledge about the IT industry and wanted to be able to pass that on. Women have a wonderful empathy and are so good at communicating with people,” she says.

Wood believes more women are coming into the industry though primarily into sales, marketing and administration roles.

“Things are better now that we have such wonderful role models in New Zealand. However I have noticed there aren’t a lot of women sitting on boards.”

Wood has over 15 years in the industry - most recently at Renaissance Brands.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
