Sage takes aim at SMEs

Sage Accpac has released new versions of its customer relationship management (CRM) and warehouse management system (WMS) software aimed at small to medium enterprises in New Zealand.

Sascha Ambrose, ANZ channel sales manager, says the company is focusing on the SME market where he believes there is a larger interest in the products.

“Our scalable solutions are doing very well in that market. Managers like the custom desktop view we offer. We are very horizontally focused and it is very important to us that the product is easily customised.”

Sage’s longstanding relationship with Enabling Technologies has allowed the company to be a real competitor in the market, says Ambrose. The company has also partnered with KPMG IT and have several smaller resellers, he says. “Sage has always had great partners in New Zealand.”

Ambrose says Sage’s CRM solution is a hit in the SME sector in part because of the software wizard that does the setup coding to create the different entities. “For example, a car dealership will want a chassis identification number for reference on screen, while a marketing director might want names and connections.”
