The channel has been introduced to New Zealand’s first one-hour server replacement guarantee, courtesy of Wellington company IServe.
Joy Cottle, general manager, says she is very excited about the news and the opportunity to offer customers a service that is second to none.
“While some companies, like Dell, will offer their customers a one-hour response time for their servers, we go one step further and promise to fix or replace that server within the hour.”
The initiative, part of IServe’s Honest IT Server Solutions programme, has been two years in the making, and is covering a wide range of bundled services.
“Besides our service, we can offer other incentives such as leasing licences as part of a server package. This means that a small business can avoid paying up to $11,000 for a software licence, and instead lease that licence from us.”
The new initiative is focused towards SMEs, but IServe has relationships with large governmental organisations as well as one of New Zealand’s leading insurance companies.
“We have been talking to a lot of people in the last two years, trying to build the product and customer base up. We talked to our existing customers as well as a group of key people we would like to do business with.”
Apple and HP are the biggest partners, offering IServe’s services as part of their server solutions.
“It is like McDonalds asking their customers ‘do you want fries with that?’. We add value on to Apple and HP services.”
IServe was ranked the tenth-fastest growing New Zealand firm in the 2005 Deloitte/Unlimited Fast 50 awards, reporting revenue growth over 500%.
Cottle is very positive about the significance of the new server guarantee, saying, “We are expecting some pretty wicked growth.”
