Business software company Tibco has announced it will be taking a greater interest in the New Zealand market, and is currently signing with several partners here.
Simon Mollender, alliance manager for Australia and New Zealand, says the company has identified a market here, and has been contacted by local organisations to bring Tibco to New Zealand.
“We have had a number of enquires from New Zealand over the years, which has led us to revamp our presence there.”
The company has changed its business model to suit the New Zealand market by splitting up sales and marketing from delivery. Tibco is signing up partners in both these categories.
“It is a unique model to New Zealand,” says Mollender. “We are targeting the top 50 organisations in the market. On a vertical scale we usually focus on the financial and telecommunications industry.”
Tibco provides an enterprise model best suited for organisations with more than 50 screens. The company will provide some service from Australia but are currently training partners in New Zealand as well.
“We are looking for a bit of self-sufficiency from our partners, hence why we are providing training programmes for them. We are very committed to the New Zealand marketplace and are confident about establishing a distributions network,” says Mollender.
