VAD extends storage range with PacketLight

Value Added Distributors has become the first in Oceania to offer resellers PacketLight Software's range of optical equipment for transporting storage over SONET/SDH, WDM and IP/ethernet networks.

VAD, an infrastructure specialist distributor, primarily offers IBM products but has also recently adopted Bizibox secure messaging software.

Managing director Terry Dunn says PacketLight is ideal for the New Zealand market.

"Packetlight will ensure that compressive storage solutions are affordable to medium enterprise as well as large enterprise customers," Dunn says.

PacketLight sales manager Michal Naor says VAD has years of experience in the data storage market and the new range will complement VAD's IBM offerings.
