'Yellow Family' storage joins Datastor

Datastor has adopted US-based Anthology Solutions’ Yellow Machine Terabyte storage appliances.

Storage product manager Gary Cullen says the 1TB appliance is already available, the 1.6TB option is available soon and the 2TB option will come by the end of the year.

“We like that it offers a VPN (virtual private network), and DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) server. There are probably only about ten to 15 of these products available around the world but none of them have the VPN or DHCP.”

Datastor says Yellow Machines are designed for small and medium businesses, the public sector, small offices and enterprise branches offices.

Datastor sales manager Dave Rosenberg says it can easily handle storage requirements generated by email archiving, digital photographs, music files and movie files, as well as PC and notebook back-up at home and in businesses.
