HP NZ job cuts possible

Hewlett Packard (HP) New Zealand may lay off staff as part of a review of its structures, says its enterprise and corporate marketing manager Jeff Healey.

“In line with the global objective of HP we’re currently reviewing our New Zealand go-to--market operations. We’re going through a period of sitting down with our current teams and reviewing the structures that are in place,” Healey says.

When asked if the process would involve job cuts, Healey said it could. He said the current review should be complete in about a month.

In the US in July, HP announced plans to cut about 15,000 jobs worldwide.
