Hansen returns with Cisco

It may be a cliché, but home is where the heart is for Suzanne Hansen as she returns to work for Cisco in New Zealand.

Hansen, who headed Cisco’s New Zealand channel efforts before becoming its Sydney-based ANZ channel manager, will start as New Zealand regional operations manager on October 1 in Auckland.

She says she moved to New Zealand from America in 1986 for love. Her husband is a Kiwi and their child was born here.

“[Moving back] was a personal decision, we really wanted to come home,” says Hansen after two years in Sydney.

Hansen says her new role will involve long-term strategy setting. “I’ll be setting directions for sales and marketing, and for how we’ll pursue technology opportunities and different verticals.”

She may have some recovering to do before she starts her job however, with five farewell parties completed and two to go.
