Morcom leaves SAP for Metalforming Technologies

Alex Morcom has left SAP New Zealand to go to Parnell-based Metalforming Technologies (MT).

MT is a supplier of galvanized steel coils and other products supporting the rollforming industry in Oceania, the Middle East and Africa. The company recently rolled out SAP’s enterprise resource planning system Business One system.

Morcom says he is happy with the move.

“A change is always good. I have been with SAP for 2,5 years, and this is a new challenge for me.”

Morcom will head up distribution agreements and helping MT taking their products to market.

Ian Black, managing director at SAP, says the company is in the process of hiring someone new for the position of SMB manager.

“I am sad to see Alex go, this is a good opportunity for growth for all of us.”

MT was a finalist in the Computerworld Excellence awards earlier this year.
