The Duet 400 from Californian company Elesys is hailed as the industry’s smallest one-drive DVD/CD production system.

The Duet 400 uses RadialPrint technology, which simplifies disc recording and labelling in professional and personal applications, and is the smallest complete disc-publishing product on the market today, according to local distributor Region4.

The unit is said to make disc-publishing quick and easy by enabling recording, duplication and printing on demand.

The Duet 400 is based on patented technology that allows the printer mechanism to be positioned on top of the drive, creating a small footprint device, minimising space requirements and producing functional efficiency, says Region4.

Utilising Elesys’ Radialprint technology and Lexmark inkjet technology, the unit enables users to record content and print professional-quality, full-colour text and images directly onto the surface of an inkjet-printable DVD or CD. The Duet 400 burns data to the disc and labels it while it is spinning in the drive, which eliminates the need for multiple insertions and ensuring integrity between content and labelling, says Region4.

The Duet 400 ships with labelling and recording software.

RRP: $1777 ex GST
