Toshiba hires new country manager

Toshiba Information Systems Division has replaced previous country manager Callum Eade with former local Bose territory manager Gary Wicks.

Wicks says he chose Toshiba because of its leading position in the market.

“It’s the premier brand in notebooks and I like to be associated with the number one brand in whatever industry I’m in,” he says.

“It’s a great opportunity with a very good company and they’re growing very fast.”

One of his priorities will be strengthening Toshiba’s Knowledge is Power reseller training programme.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing technology products. Prior to Bose, he has been managing director for Tech Rentals and was a New Zealand area manager for Phillips.

He started his career as an electronics technician and holds a Master of Business Administration in education.
