Email and internet security firm Marshal’s recently appointed regional marketing manager plans to increase lead-generation efforts and improve contact with resellers.
“One of the reasons Marshall brought me on board was to develop the channel programmes, not just to say, ‘Here we are and we’ll give you a few brochures,’ but to become the partner’s inhouse marketing department,” says Adele Bernard.
Bernard, who was Websense’s Asia-Pacific marketing manager for over three years, says it’s important to tailor channel programmes for local markets. “I’d like to put together a lead-generation programme and a telemarketing programme. We’ve also been speaking to our distributor about more face-to-face events and roadshows.”
Bernard says Marshal has a loyal base of resellers in New Zealand and is not actively recruiting, but would take on partners who are strong in the security market.
