Check Point, Lan Systems trans-Tasman push

Security and networking specialist Check Point and Lan Systems are ramping up operations in Australia and New Zealand. Check Point has recently increased its staff numbers to 19 spread over the two countries – this time last year there were just 13. The company is looking to employ two more by the end of the year.

Check Point Australia country manager, Scott McKinnel, says the two companies are getting along well since the merger and there has been minimal change to the business.

“There has been a lot of exciting by-products from the merger. We are maintaining status quo, but will be looking to expand our markets there.”

Lan Systems national sales manager, Leigh Howard, says the two companies, “Are rocking along really well.”

"Next year Lan Systems expects to enjoy significant growth in New Zealand,” says Howard. “Not just with Check Point but other tier-one vendors as well.”

McKinnel says the company has had 23 per cent compound growth annually for the past three years.
