Region4 seizes Teac range opportunity

Teac America has appointed Region4 as the sole Australia/New Zealand distributor for its new Disc Publishing product range. Teac's senior vice president of sales and marketing Les Luzar says his company needed an experienced partner who could understand the requirements of optical disc production environments and back the experience up with quality support. "We are excited about the opportunities Region4 can bring us given their intimate knowledge of the local markets gained over the past decade," Luzar says. As a result of the new agency, Region4 will stop distributing the Rimage range of disc production hardware, but will continue to sell consumables for that equipment. "It is important that we continue to support the installed base of machines in production environments by ensuring ongoing consumables supply," says Region4 managing director Callum Hingston. "While we have developed a large installed base in our territory, we expect to see a significant increase in market share for our other vendors as Rimage's future direction moves away from the traditional markets we service." Region4's represented vendors include Primera, Evocept and R-Quest.
