Cisco's trade-in offer for old routers

Cisco's trade-in offer for old routers

Cisco New Zealand has begun its partner initiative to renew routers the company already has in the market, and is offering distributors and resellers the opportunity to earn rewards.

The company has an estimated 10,000-plus installed routers of the types 1600, 1700 and 2600 in New Zealand. The trade-in programme features a discount on the new bundles, featuring 1801W, 2811 and 2821 integrated routers.

There is a trade-in scheme with previous models and for competitor’s models, with an incentive scheme to instantly reward a sale.

Cisco’s Suzanne Hansen says there are also opportunities for partners to up sell with the technology.

The 1700 and 2600 series will reach end of service next month.
