Distribution company Anyware Computer Accessories has appointed a new sub-distributor to expand its reach in the Pacific.
Anyware has added East Tamaki-based Oceania Printing Solutions (OPTL) as its latest sub-distributor. OPTL covers the Pacific market, including Papua New Guinea, Rarotonga, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and others.
Anyware country manager Peter de Wever says the company tagged onto OPTL because of its access to the Pacific region and lack of conflict between the two companies' product portfolios.
“There is really no conflict with the product line, something that has allowed OPTL to have access to our entire group of products.”
The addition of OPTL as a sub-distributor is the latest in a line of distributors joining the ranks at Anyware.
According to de Wever the market is buoyant at the moment, though he claims other wholesalers and distributors are having slow months.
“Some people say it has been a really slow period, so we are obviously making a dent somewhere. We have continuously increasing sales and have had to expand our storage space and staff numbers.”
De Wever puts the company’s success down to sticking to its guns and doing business its way.
“Thermaltake has become a big brand success for us and partners like PB Technologies have helped us accomplish that.”
Anyware has moved from a wholesale model to a distribution model in the last year, and de Wever says the company owes much of that to its distribution partners and sticking to the core brands. The company’s current top brands are Thermaltake, Aten, Tplink and Welland.
