Wyse splits distribution

Express Data will distribute the full range of Wyse thin computing products in an extension of the agreement between the vendor and distributor across the Tasman.

“This is an extension of Express Data’s Australia/New Zealand policy of aligning our products,” says Express Data general manager of sales and marketing Paul Plester. ED has been a Wyse distributor in Australia since 2005.

Locally, ED adopted the range at the start of April and its appointment ends current Wyse distributor MPA’s long-standing status as the brand’s sole local representitive.

MPA and ED will now share the brand and Plester says he understands Wyse has a worldwide dual-distribution model.

Taking on Wyse is a natural fit for ED since becoming Citrix’s exclusive local distributor in March, says Plester. The move was designed to help Citrix’s communications, networking and application delivery play.

Citrix cut its ties with MPA to strengthen its relationship with ED.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
