Capital connection for Anyware

Accessories distributor Anyware has added another sub-distributor to its ranks, and given Wellington-based Technology Connection full access to its product range of about 700 items.

Technology Connection falls under the same group as DCS Dataworld and is currently covering the lower half of the North Island in addition to some distribution in the South Island.

Marlon Dajevic of Technology Connection says the company has taken a slightly different approach to other wholesalers, by focusing on customer contacts.

“We have reps on the road all the time and cover as far north as Tauranga. When we looked at the market we saw that one thing missing was customer service, so we focused on that. We can source from elsewhere and even produce custom cables via DCS.”

Dajevic says the company has future plans to move into the South Island with a Christchurch office.

Anyware country manager, Peter de Wever, says the new addition holds stock locally, adding he is positive about Technology Connection's potential move to the South Island.

“I can see these guys growing hugely in the South Island. A Christchurch office could mean the difference between $15 freight and $3 freight. The Wellington office already has the potential of becoming great for us.”

Anyware has recently added two new brands to its portfolio, Olin and V-0gear, both being exclusive deals to the distributor.

De Wever says the company increased its profits 57 percent over the last financial year, and puts much of that success down to the cut in product range and increased focus.
