Cellnet name arrives in June — finally

Distributor IT Wholesale and sister division Cellect will sail under a different name from next month – that of corporate parent Cellnet.

Marketing manager Dave Clark says the change in name will take effect on June 1, and steps have already been taken to promote the new brand.

“We have changed our signage on the building and we are in the process of setting up a new 0800 number.”

The name change has been in the pipeline for a while. The company first announced it would consolidate its brands under the Cellnet name last March.

Cellnet Australia was established in 1992 followed by Cellect New Zealand in 1994. Cellnet acquired IT Wholesale in October 2000 and the company was established in New Zealand in April 2001.
