New Zealand is among 16 countries where IBM has launched Express Advantage – a programme that offers a range of software, hardware, technical services and support tailored for mid-size businesses.
Channels marketing manager Michael Friedberg says the initiative is designed to make it easy for SMEs to access technology and to find business partners.
“We know what’s hot and what areas of technology mid-size businesses require so it’s aligned to that,” Friedberg says.
Locally, IBM has adopted 63 of the 80 offerings within the scheme that was initiated in the US last year.
“We haven’t rolled out all the offerings, and we’re working with a lot of our partners to develop business-specific offerings,” he says.
Enhanced support is a feature of the programme, with a new toll-free number for customers to get questions answered and secure partner information. Web support information has been enhanced. Also, new financing options with simplified procedures, contracts and rates are included.
