Former Toshiba country manager Callum Eade has returned from his stint as an Ironman to take up the role as Toshiba national channel sales manager for Australia.
In his new Sydney-based role, Eade will be responsible for driving Toshiba’s overall Australian channel business, managing the national channel sales team and sales centre and working closely with the corporate sales team. Eade says this is a dream opportunity, adding he has now fulfilled his sporting ambitions.
“After some time away pursuing my personal dreams, it is great to be back working with Toshiba again. I am passionate about the brand and am delighted that my next career step could be with a company I have such a high commitment to.”
Eade will work closely with Toshiba’s current country manager Gary Wicks to develop consistent strategies across the two countries.
While this will include aligning distribution strategies across Australia and New Zealand, Eade says there are no plans to change Ingram Micro’s status as sole distributor here.
“I am a strong believer of the sole distribution strategy for New Zealand.
“We are very pleased with the work Ingram is doing – March was a record month for them with Toshiba.”
