Hitachi has opened an Asia Pacific Deal Operations Centre that is designed to free up partners in New Zealand and 11 other countries to focus on responding to customer needs.
The centre, in Kuala Lumpur, provides support in areas including configuration of solutions for customers, allocation of inventory, pricing strategies and audits and compliance. Partners and salespeople can email support requests or send them via a web portal, and each request is assigned a case number for tracking.
Hitachi says a pricing request must be responded to within two hours.
Australia and New Zealand managing director, Mark Kay, says the two countries make up an important region for the vendor. “With the Deal Operations Centre, our sales teams and partners in this region will be better supported and equipped to respond to our customers in a shorter time frame.”
The centre has three teams responsible for pricing, configuration and pre-sales support.
Centre director Hugh Ujhazy says Malaysia is the ideal location for the centre given its proximity to Asia Pacific markets.
The 12 countries serviced by the centre are Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, China, the Philippines, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
