Juniper offers free course to Cisco networkers

Juniper Networks has appealed to Cisco routing professionals to become certified in the company’s operating system, Junos, at no cost.

The programme is an opportunity for networkers with Cisco certified networking associates (CCNA), professionals (CCNP) and internetworking engineers (CCIE) qualifications to also gain certifications around Juniper’s routing technology.

Gary Kinsley, vice president of channels and enterprise in Asia Pacific says the programme is a result of Juniper's market growth in the Asia Pacific region.

“This programme provides an accelerated track for people in the industry to get qualifications that are becoming increasingly desirable.”

Kinsley says Junos is becoming more established in the industry and that there is a need for more professionals.

“There is a current need for certified networking professionals in the region, and Junos-powered networking equipment has grown more prevalent.”

The programme is run until the end of the year and comes at no cost to the networking professionals.
