Spreading the word on Datacom

Datacom’s new CEO Greg Davidson, a 10-year veteran of the company, wants to lift its profile in the market.

Davidson has spent the past eight years heading its software systems and integration division, and says he has spent his first weeks in the job ensuring customers are satisfied with its performance.

However, he wants the company to be more vocal in letting its audience know about Datacom’s achievements.

“We’ve always preferred to take an understated position. The IT community is very known to us and we’ve at times confused understated with retiring – we haven’t got our message out, particularly when it comes to our successes, and that’s something I’d like to see improve.”

Davidson replaces Frank Stephenson who passed away in April, and says it is important to retain the company’s culture after the change in leadership, along with a continued focus on innovation.

“Any technology outsourcer has to work hard to remain current and innovate. We need to be constantly shifting to ensure we reflect what the market’s asking of us.”
