Sapphire HD 2600 Call of Juarez special edition

Sapphire Technology is bundling a PC game Call of Juarez with its HD 2600 series graphics cards.

Developed by Techland, Call of Juarez is one of the first games to fully utilise Microsoft DirectX 10. Sapphire says it decided to bundle a full version of Call of Juarez with its HD 2600 XT GDDR4, GDDR3 and PRO GDDR3 graphics cards, to enable gamers to experience the exceptional DX 10 gaming performance.

The special edition features the latest unified shader architecture with 120 stream processing units, 128-bit memory interface and high-speed GDDR4/GDDR3 memory. The series incorporates the latest ATI Avivo HD video and display technology, which Sapphire says unleashes the game’s high-definition visual effects with Windows Vista and DirectX 10. Plug-n-Play Crossfire upgradeability meanwhile, is said to make it easy for hardcore gamers to scale up the graphics performance.

Another new feature is the built-in, dedicated, unified video decoder that accelerates the decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD content. On-board, multi-channel 5.1 surround audio over HDMI is also provided.
