Synetek Systems has introduced its MailRevive hosted email management service to New Zealand through new distributor Crawford Technologies.
Synetek’s LeaseEagle web-based lease administration system is already distributed here through Site Retail, and the vendor has given Crawford a wide-ranging brief to expand its reseller base for MailRevive.
The product’s co-founder and marketing director Lee Trevena says Crawford will recruit partners from small integrators to ISPs and hosting companies.
“In addition to the software as a service resale, we also have the Provider Partner installation. If you’re a data hosting company you can install MailRevive for a standard fee and use your infrastructure and own private label.
“Crawford is our distributor for all of that market and New Zealand Telecom is under the auspices of Crawford’s brief.”
The distributor may also develop relationships with sub-distributors for MailRevive, Trevena says.
Crawford Technologies’ other agencies include Exinda Networks, Cyclades and Expand Networks.
Managing director John Crawford says hosting providers and ISPs that re-badge MailRevive as a white label service pay a wholesale price and can market it as they wish, while resellers who sell licences for the service get a percentage of the revenue.
Crawford says his company was chosen for its ability to promote new brands and its strength in datacentre and telco channels.
“We deal with people like Revera, Plan B, Telecom and Vodafone. MailRevive needs to be taken to these guys at a business level.”
MailRevive automates email backup and provides search tools to find and recover any emails and attachments. Prices vary depending on the number of users on the licence.
The service is aimed at small and medium firms, particularly those interested in enforcing company email policies and tracking archived email records, Trevena says.
Synetek has already established MailRevive in North America and has signed distribution agreements in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
