Virtual desktop vendor NComputing has added two models to its L-series of access terminals.
It says the L230 and L130 terminals help deliver a rich PC user experience while reducing the acquisition, integration, maintenance and energy costs of computing.
According to the company, the access terminals provide zero-footprint PC access with a Video Electronics Standards Association compliant monitor mounting bracket for clutter-free computing, along with enhanced audio and video features.
Both models offer widescreen (1440x900) support and a standard monitor bracket, while the L230 has 24-bit colour, a microphone input port and a USB port for memory devices.
The terminals enable a single PC to be shared between up to 10 users running typical office productivity applications, while a basic server can support up to 30 users.
The L-series access terminals connect to standard monitors, keyboards and mice and then connect to the shared PC via standard Ethernet networks.
As with NComputing’s other L-series and X-series terminals, the new devices support both Windows and Linux operating systems
