Kingston Technology has entered the world of microSD High-Capacity (SDHC) flash memory cards, with a 4GB model in a Class 4 speed rating.
The memory maker says its microSDHC cards provide speed and capacity increases in the smallest footprint available and are just the thing to meet the rising communication and multimedia demands of current mobile phones and digital devices.
The card surpasses capacities beyond the 2GB threshold of the original microSD card format, but is identical in physical size.
According to Kingston regional manager for Australia and New Zealand, Vaughan Nankivell, next-generation mobile phones promise cutting edge functionality in ever-smaller form factors, which increase demands on storage and read/write performance becomes greater.
