Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e desktop

Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e desktop

Lenovo’s ThinkCentre A61e desktop will appeal to space conscious, green-thinking office workers, as it takes up as much room as the average phone book and uses energy-efficient processors.

Lenovo says the A61e is the smallest, quietest and most energy efficient desktop it has ever produced. It says the A61e model takes up 25 percent less space than previous models and weighs 3.6 kilos.

It is the PC maker’s first product to achieve gold status from the internationally-run Green Electronics Council, utilising up to 90 percent reusable materials and packaging. It can also be powered by a solar panel.

The desktop’s AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core and AMD Sempron single-core processors can help users save up to 50 percent in energy costs annually over previous models, according to Lenovo.

RRP: approx $950 ex GST

Distributors: Ingram Micro and Cellnet
