Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000 & NX-3000

Microsoft says its new LifeCam VX-7000 and NX-3000 webcams meet consumer demand for sleek design and better ways to share important life moments.

The two new webcams complement PC monitor design and feature Photo Swap, a tool that enables users to share digital photos in real-time through Microsoft’s Windows Live Messenger instant messaging software.

Each LifeCam features a Windows Live Call Button for one-touch video call placing, while Windows Live Messenger has a LifeCam Dashboard that provides access to controls like pan, tilt and zoom.

Users can also post high-definition LifeCam pictures directly to their Windows Live Spaces blog with one click from within the LifeCam window.

The VX-7000 is designed for desktop PCs and features a 2.0 MP sensor for HD video and 7.6 MP still photographs, as well as a wide-angle, glass element lens.

The NX-3000 is a notebook webcam and features a 640 x 480 pixels video and 1.3 MP still photography.

Both include a built-in unidirectional microphone with acoustic noise cancellation.

RRP: LifeCam VX-7000 – $189; LifeCam NX-3000 – $99
