Wyse Technology says its new Wyse G class thin computing devices are unique in their flexibility and expansion capabilities, while delivering the performance and flexibility needed to run complex applications in graphics and data-intensive environments.
The G class thin clients enable all applications to be fully managed in the data centre, making them inherently more secure from viruses and other malicious software attacks, the company says.
The range consists of the G90 thin client and the G00 thin client models.
The G90 comes with Microsoft’s Windows XP Embedded operating system, which Wyse claims gives users access to the most advanced web browser and media player capabilities available in a thin computer. The Wyse WSM provisioning software on the G00 model is said to deliver a no-management client with the richest client capabilities ever offered by Wyse.
Powered by a 1.2GHz Via C7 processor, the range comes with standard dual-display support and the option to support up to six displays. Multiple displays are controlled and enhanced through the Wyse TCX Multi-Display software.
