Symantec log management service coming to Kiwi resellers

Local Symantec resellers will have another tool in their arsenal against internet security risks. The company recently launched its Log Management Service, a new offering from the Managed Security Services (MSS) group.

MSS director of product management Mike Mulville says resellers will be able to provide customers with 24/7 security monitoring of server application logs.

“Resellers will also have the ability to provide regulatory compliance to customers which is driving auditing and mandates. It also features flexible reporting and other capabilities around customisable log archiving.”

Mulville adds that the service provides large enterprises with the ability to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.

“The service enables companies to reduce security risks by tracking, measuring and reporting on security incidences and activity within application and server log files.”

The log management service integrates with Symantec’s global intelligence network which enables it to keep up to date with the latest threats.
